Negotiable Construction: 1 1/4” teak Carvel planking on 1 3/4” x 2 1/4 “ Ipol frames on 10-12” centers. Copper riveted & bronze fastenings. Ipol backbone & floor timbers. Bronze strapping. 3/4” tak deck on plywood. Self bailing cockpit with teak sole with fiberglass cover. Varnished teak trim. Edson worm gear steering. 7,000 lbs external lead ballast. Over the years boatyard employees and marine surveyors have always marveled at what good shape Drumbeats hull planking is in both above and below water line. They attribute this to the hull being all teak with copper rivets. In the 18 years that Drumbeat has been in our family we have never had to recalk the hull as it has always been tight. She has recently been hauled out for hull maintenance and repainting. No hull planks or wood have had to be replaced due to rot or other reasons. Engine: New Perkins 4-108 50 HP marine diesel installed in 1990. Borg Warner 2.5:1 reverse reduction gear transmission. 18” x 11” 3 blade bronze propeller on 1-1/8” monel shaft.
