William Garden 33 - 2006/06/06 08:08
Greetings All
I am trying to track down any information on my timber William Garden 33, built as a ketch by Okamoto & Sons of Yokohama in 1961. After stints at Long Beach CA and in the Pacific, she has ended up in southern Australia.
A previous owner has lopped the mizzen, so she is now a little under rigged. Does anyone have any information about the performance of the original rig on this boat and so any clues as to why the mizzen would have been removed?
She is a pretty little boat, a bit like L.F. Herreshoff's "Araminta" in profile, with a nice clipper bow and a decent length of bow sprit.
Regards,
Andrew Green.
